U.S. CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE IS CALLING ON CONGRESS TO PASS BILLH.R. 2851 AIMING TO BAN RACIAL PROFILING

U.S. Congressional Candidate, Eric Williams calls on President Obama and Congress to make racial profiling legislation a top priority after a week of public outcry and violence in Ferguson, MO.

The administration should make racial profiling legislation a top priority and ban racial injustices in the criminal justice system by passing H.R. 2851 Act of 2013.

More than 400 years of slavery and 90 years of legal segregation in this country have created a legacy of racialized policing. Killings and beatings lie at one end of a spectrum in which black people – and young black men in particular all over the nation – are routinely stigmatized, humiliated, and harassed as targets for police stops, frisks, and searches, even when they are doing nothing wrong.

Congressional Candidate, Eric Williams will be traveling to Missouri on Wednesday. This is a national issue. Mr. Williams is a former St.Louis resident and journalist.
